Description

1. This RFP is open to all interested Vendors.
2. The City of Calgary requires uniformed security guards for identified static sites, guard posts and/or City locations on an as needed basis. Security guards will be required to provide general guard duties determined by The City to support City facilities.
The Supplier will hold a current and valid Security Services and Investigators Act Business licence as issued by Solicitor General’s Office of Alberta. The licence will be formally and correctly certified with any endorsements required to carry out given aspects of the business.
3. This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
4. It is The City's intention to enter into an Agreement with only one (1) legal entity. The Agreement will be for an initial term of one (1) year. After the initial term, The City will have an option to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for three (3) times for two (2) years for a potential total term of seven (7) years.
