RFQ2022-03 - Central Services - Mechanical Upgrade

The intent of this bid call is to solicit and receive formal offers to perform the following Work:
.1 Due to the current market, the project has been broken into phases for alternate pricing.
Phase 1A is critical to be completed and is will be the Base Bid, refer to Section 01 23
00 for the Alternate Pricing.
.2 To replace the existing HVAC system in the building to minimize the temperature
control issues in the building.
 Remove existing rooftop and indoor air handling units with new packaged gas
fired heat/cool rooftop units.
 Existing ducting from removed units to be replaced with new ducting, air
terminal units and grilles.
 Existing heating water system to be replaced with new boilers and terminal
units. Existing piping to be replaced with new hydronic piping.
 Provide new EMCS (digital control) system for new equipment and terminal
units.
.3 Central Services Office is located at 4747 53 Street, Red Deer, Alberta.
.1 The office building is the main office for the school division, and senior
administration use this building.
.2 The staff may be relocated to another building throughout the construction
project.
.1 In the event only Phase 1a proceeds, staff in the other area of the
building may remain in their spaces.
.2 Owner will move furniture, Contractor is responsible for coordination.
.4 The building will not have power July 9 and 10, 2022, due to work on the adjacent
building (Culture Service Building).
.5 Structural drawings will be issued through an addendum.
.2 Bids shall be prepared and submitted and the bidding process shall be administered in
accordance with these bidding requirements.
.3 Refer to Section 01 11 00 - Summary of Work for requirements pertaining to Contract Time and
Scope.
