2021-01-3308-FOM-18025-21FOM0004-007 - Semi-Portable Classrooms (WHT Mead Animal Sciences Building) - REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

The purpose of this Request for Quotation (RFQ) is to invite firms to submit a quotation for the provision of Semi-Portable Buildings or Trailers for classroom use to Lakeland College for the MEAD Building Revitalization Project. The portables will be leased or rented on a monthly basis for a minimum of one school term of ten (10) months (July 2021– April 2022).

The WHT Mead Animal Sciences Building is an existing facility that needs to be renovated and expanded to provide functional program space to accommodate growing class sizes and program upgrades to be more in line of the current and future needs. The Agricultural Sciences Program is the main program within the MEAD Building. Due to the revitalization of the entire MEAD Building, semi-portable classrooms will be required for the school term for students to continue in person learning.

Lakeland College requires the temporary use of complexes that are approximately 48’ x 60’ in size at minimum throughout the course of construction. The proponent will be required to prepare the site for the placement of the portable units, which includes laydown pads, and demobilization of the units at the end of the term. Temporary utility tank rentals will not be required as utilities will be provided by the college. See RFQ DOCUMENT for additional information.
