Description

The Toronto Port Authority (“TPA”), doing business as (“PortsToronto”), is a government business enterprise that owns and operates Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Marine Terminal 51, Warehouse 52, and the Outer Harbour Marina along Toronto’s waterfront.

PortsToronto proposes to solicit Bids from qualified General Contractors for the W52 Office Reno and Freezer Conversion construction project, as per this Request for Tendering, which involves the items described in the scope of work; comprising of demolition and construction of interior office and conversion of freezer into an archive storage space within an existing building.

Mandatory site meeting has been scheduled at 10 AM EST, JUNE 25th meeting at 8 Unwin Avenue. All bidders will be required to sign the “Site Meeting Log” to confirm their attendance. All bidders must allow time for security check-in at the main gate. Allow 1.5 hours for the site visit. All bidders must bring personal protection include: hard hats, steel toed boots, and safety vests. All bidders must bring government issued photo identification. To attend the meeting, send a written email request to Firas Shugaa at FShugaa@portstoronto.com It is strongly suggested that you bring no more than 2 attendees. Please provide contact information for one of the attendees should there be changes to the visit.

Bids received before 2:00:00 PM EST local time on July 5th, 2018 will be dated and time stamped at the place receiving the bids. Late bids will be returned unopened.
Please note: 60 Harbour does not have a public area for representatives of the bidders to wait for final numbers before submitting. Enter the building with final numbers in the sealed bid.
At the ground floor intercom beside the elevators, dial 2005, and Ellen Morrison will come down to pick up the sealed envelopes. If there is no answer, dial 6th floor, and advise that you have a proposal package for delivery to the 5th floor. If there is no answer, dial 2nd floor, and explain the same. In these cases, you will be given instructions to proceed.
