476862-0010 - Package No. 11 Over-Wintering Fish Ponds & Channels

The Fish Overwintering Ponds and associated channels, and implementation of the Habitat Features, shall be constructed in two phases, as follows, due to seasonal construction constraints:
.1 Phase 1 will include: clearing and grubbing; the pond and channel
excavations; fill placement; and the implementation of all Habitat
Features, excluding: planting; seeding; and placement of benthic
invertebrates into the ponds. Phase 1 will be conducted during Spring
(April-May) 2020.
.2 Phase 2 will include: planting and seeding for the riparian and
macrophyte vegetative areas during the spring (June) of 2020, and
subsequent monitoring through the summer of 2020. Planting and
seeding must be completed before July 1st to provide them time to
mature before the onset of winter.
