Description:
Objectives
Communications & Public Affairs Division (C&PA) wishes to establish a relationship with one (1) qualified and experienced Proponent to provide print services (brokerage or full-service in-house printing) mailing and distribution services for The York University Alumni Magazine.
York has no in-house production manager to facilitate the production and the distribution of the Magazine. Services required include pre-press operations, printing, binding, labelling, mailing and delivery to postal stations and the University.
Deliverables
The Selected Proponent must be able to manage a large volume account with fixed dates and deliverables and have a sound understanding of the Work involved.
To that end, the Selected Proponent shall deliver, but not be limited to, the following services:
- Printing of the Magazine, which could include arrangement of special inserts, outserts, tip-ins, cover wraps and the like; and
- Distribution of the Magazine, including special off campus deliveries and/or coordination of other services associated with Magazine distribution, including mailing-house services.
York will only consider Proposal submissions received from Proponents who have registered with MERX (www.MERX.com) for this competitive bid. Proposal submissions from Proponents who have not registered and obtained this Bid Document directly from MERX will be disqualified.

Delivery Date:
Service implemented by a tentative date of November 1, 2018
Duration of Agreement:
The initial term of the Agreement shall be for thirty-six (36) months, with two (2) optional twelve (12) month extensions; for a potential Term of sixty (60) months.

York reserves the right in its sole discretion to negotiate modifications to any Proposal received without becoming obligated to offer to negotiate with any other Proponent(s).
