Description:
York is soliciting Proposals from experienced and qualified Proponents for the provision of an experiential education marketplace solution. The aim of the solution includes, but is not limited to:

To enable the Business School to provide meaningful project-based experiential learning at scale by connecting students to “real world” partners (both for-profit and not-for-profit) through an efficient online marketplace;
To reduce the educator workload around finding industry partners with appropriate projects for students to work on;
To enable students to track and externalize their experiential learning achievements through an industry-validated portfolio which includes a full e-portfolio to help them stand out from the crowd and land relevant employment;
To enable industry partners to complete an assessment of student skills at the end of a project;
To support the administration and management of a full end-to-end workflow to manage the complete project lifecycle;
To be built on an extensible architecture that will be able to be extended to support our Graduate capstone Strategy Study course; and
Lower the complexity and support effort level for IT service at York through the use of a SaaS solution.

York will only consider Proposal submissions received from Proponents who have registered with MERX (www.MERX.com) for this competitive bid. Proposal submissions from Proponents who have not registered and obtained this Bid Document directly from MERX will be disqualified.

This procurement is covered by Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.

Delivery Date:
Proponents will need to demonstrate their capacity to complete:
• Sixty (60) day implementation, includes training and onboarding of students, educators and industry partners; and
• Strategy Study 601 Capstone requirements to be completed by the end of June 2019.

Duration of Agreement:
The initial term of the Agreement shall be for thirty-six (36) months from the date of an award, with two (2) optional thirty-six (36) month extensions, at York’s sole discretion for a potential Term of one-hundred and eight (108) months.

Negotiation:
York reserves the right in its sole discretion to negotiate modifications to any Proposal received without becoming obligated to offer to negotiate with any other Proponent(s).
