York is soliciting Proposals from experienced and qualified Proponents for the supply, delivery, implementation, support and maintenance for bookstore modernization solution.
The new software solution should enable York to be a leader in campus omni-channel retail and meet the day-to-day requirements for operations. It should enable the bookstore to provide enhanced service, grow revenue, and lower costs.
Specifically, it should support significant revenue growth through modern functionality such as drop ship from suppliers, powerful promotion and marketing tools, shopping cart abandonment and ecommerce marketing, automated kits / bundles, and/or other similar revenue generating functionality.
The new system should also offer efficiency improvements, saving
considerable time by automating certain tasks, eliminating certain system
work completely, adding integrations to systems such as Peoplesoft to avoid
duplicating work and simplifying repetitive tasks such as creating new items
in the system and searching for information.
York University is open to both cloud-based and hybrid solutions; however, a strong preference will be given to cloud-based solutions.
York’s preference is to award one (1) qualified and experienced Proponent for the Work outlined in this RFP.
York will only consider Proposal submissions received from Proponents who have registered with MERX and have obtained the Bid Document directly from MERX (www.MERX.com) for this competitive bid. Proposal submissions from Proponents who have not registered and obtained this Bid Document directly from MERX will be disqualified.
