NOTICE OF INTENDED PROCUREMENT
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Wilfrid Laurier University to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Residence Furniture as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
This agreement is for a one (1) year period with the option in favour of Wilfrid Laurier University to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year terms. The quantities provided in Appendix D the “Deliverables” are for an initial bulk purchase in year one, with no assurance of volume for the remainder of the contract period or optional renewal. It is the intent of the University to partner with a vendor to supply & install furnishings on an “as required” basis for the duration of the contract.
Proponents are invited to submit proposals for Bedroom and Common Areas. As it is the intent of the University to partner with a single entity, proponents are asked to submit for both categories to be considered. The University may elect to add furniture products to the item list over the life of the contract upon mutual agreement with the selected proponent. The RFP will be run a s consecutive, non-binding negotiation.
It is estimated that the value of the contract would be approximately $300,000 including optional renewal periods. It should be noted however that this is an estimate only and the University makes no guarantees regarding volume or value over the contract life. The initial bulk purchase should be delivered, assembled and installed at 260 Regina Street, Waterloo ON by July 31 ,2018 with exact dates to be coordinated with the successful proponent.

Please do not send RFP submissions with Upholstry samples. RFP submissions must be submitted to the University's Bonfire Portal as described in the RFP Document.
The following sets out the categories, weightings and descriptions of the rated criteria of the RFP. The University will use a tiered evaluation process. Proponents who do not meet a minimum combined score of 70% of the available points for Qualitative/Non-price criteria (criteria i,ii,iii, iv.) will not proceed to the next stage of the evaluation process. Proponents must score a minimum of 45.5 out of the possible 65 points for non-price criteria in order to have their pricing evaluated in stage III.
