18-059 - Waste Receptacles RFP

The University of Waterloo (“UW”) is soliciting proposals from potential suppliers for the supply and delivery of waste receptacles to be used in the collection of waste and recycling materials throughout the UW campus, both indoors and out.
 
UW campuses comprise of approximately 6 million square feet and we are looking to standardize waste receptacles across the entire UW campus over the next three to five years. The successful Respondent for this RFP will become the supplier of receptacles over this period.
 
It is UW’s intent to partner with one service provider that has the capability of delivering and labeling approximately 40 indoor, and 120 outdoor waste receptacles of various sizes and configurations, in a phased in approach, as further outlined in Section 6 and by the required delivery dates specified within this RFP. 
 
Objective of this RFP
 
The objective of this RFP is to select one (1) Successful Respondent that has the ability to:

• act as the primary resource for the supply and delivery of standardized waste receptacles across the entire UW campus;
• offer the University of Waterloo standardized waste receptacles across its entire campus;
• deliver all of the requirements as set out in this RFP by August 15, 2018 and is willing to accept financial penalty if that delivery date is not met;
• provide the University of Waterloo with excellent, timely customer and account management support;
• support environmental and sustainability requirements;
• offer preferred pricing; and
• offer UW a product line that is modern, professional and aesthetically pleasing.
