RFP 21-063 - LG - Supply delivery and install of a Low-Level Liquid Scintillation Spectrometer/Cou

The University of Waterloo invites qualified companies to submit Proposals for the supply, delivery and install of a Low-Level Liquid Scintillation Spectrometer/Counter in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal (RFP). The University of Waterloo intends to select one vendor that meets or exceeds the Requirements identified in this RFP.
The University of Waterloo Environmental Laboratory requires a replacement Low-Level Liquid Scintillation Spectrometer/Counter for the measurement and quantification of direct and enriched water samples for a final tritium content below 1 Bq/L in a 20 mL scintillation vial (sample plus liquid scintillation cocktail).
The equipment will be installed in a dedicated basement lab to minimize interference due to background radiation.  The space is already set up for its use and there are three similar existing units in the lab.
An autosampler is required with a minimum 30 sample capacity for 20 mL scintillation vials. Bench top or floor units are acceptable; space is not an issue. There are 100-240 V electrical terminals available at the site.
The maximum budget is $200,000 CAD, plus HST.
