19-089 - Residence Master Planning Consultant

The University of Waterloo is seeking a professional residence master planning consultant (hereafter the Respondent) with a demonstrated record of developing evidence-based residence master plans for clients in higher education to create a residence master plan. The residence master plan will serve to guide the Owner’s revitalization and development strategy over the next 20 years. The plan must be bold, yet implementable within the Owner’s budget and financial capacity and result in compelling living environments that enhance the student experience at the University of Waterloo.  The plan should present a road map for creating a housing system that serves the needs of students, and meets the objectives of both the Department of Housing and Residences and the University as a whole: Housing facilities that Waterloo students unmistakably desire and benefit from.
