21-061 - NSERC RTI Purchase of 8-GPU Systems

The system will be used for testing speed up and parallelization of computations using floating-point operations. We envision outsourcing computations (e.g. homomorphic ciphertext operations using cuFHE or learning of deep neural networks) spanning several GPUs. The code for the experiments, final and intermediate results will be stored on permanent storage. The experiments will measure the performance of the computations (where faster is better), but need to accommodate the space requirements of the ciphertexts or ML models. The budget is $130,879 CAD, plus HST.
