The Faculty of Environment is seeking proposals for purchase, delivery and installation of mobile benching furniture and task seating for their Environment 1 building. The faculty is taking on a high number of new post-graduate students who will require flexible workspaces. Due to ongoing space changes and upgrades we require a flexible solution that will allow staff to easily create different layouts in a variety of rooms without requiring the furniture to be dismantled. We require a benching solution that is mobile, foldable by the end user and requires no tools to assemble. Staff should be able to reconfigure the furniture along with our existing furniture (Single sided bench – 30”x84” when open/ 15”x84” when closed. Double sided bench - 54” x 84” when open/ 22” x 84” when closed – Tops are 1” high with 2mm edging) to allow for future flexibility. Each bench should include dividers and an electrical power bar with surge protector, 2 USB outlets and 4 standard power outlets. Task chairs should be ergonomically designed and adjustable.
Additional project goals include providing quality office furnishings that are, durable, easily maintained, functional, visually pleasing, and incorporating the latest sustainable design features which promote improved quality of work life.
