Description of the Procurement
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the University of Ottawa to prospective Proponents to submit Proposals for Unified Communications as a Service (“UCaaS”).
Currently, the University of Ottawa’s aging legacy telephony infrastructure does not meet existing operational needs for much longer. Due to critical components such as end-of-support and prone to failure with extended outages, it cannot support the development and deployment of advanced functionality required as part of any modern Collaboration platform. Our students, faculty and business require more for the changing times. Students want to learn anytime, anywhere and anyplace. We are looking to implement a platform that will support that requirement for students and other stakeholders, provide faculties with upgraded tools to teach and collaborate in a natural manner.
The Preferred Proponent will be requested to enter into direct agreement negotiations to finalize an Agreement with the University for the provision of the Deliverables. It is the University’s intention to enter into an Agreement with only one (1) legal entity.
The term of the Agreement is to be for a period of five (5) years, with an option in favour of the University to extend the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for additional term(s) of up to five (5) years.
