Supply and install of all food service equipment for a new food services outlet at the University of Ottawa's Roger Guindon Hall at 451 Smyth Road, Ottawa, ON.
This work will include cooking and service equipment, stainless steel fabrication, millwork, refrigeration wall panels and related refrigeration equipment. Full coordination will be required with the General Contractor and their sub-trades.
The Owner is an educational institution and will remain fully operational during the construction period. As such the implementation of this project will require a holistic approach to minimize disruptions, and maximize efficiencies.
The construction of the project will be performed by a general contractor designated as "Constructor" pursuant to the Ontario Health and Safety legislation. The foodservice equipment supplier acknowledges that the work it will perform, shall be under the total control of a Contractor who has assumed overall responsibility for compliance with all aspects of the applicable health and safety legislation, including all the responsibilities of the “Constructor” under the OHSA, and the responsibility to co-ordinate and schedule work activities under its Contract. The foodservice equipment supplier agrees to comply with the Contractor’s directions and instructions with respect to health, safety, co-ordination and scheduling, and acknowledges that its failure to do so is grounds for termination.
The foodservice equipment contractor must be capable of performing the work in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (OADA), and their regulations.

- Commercial General Liability Insurance (and Umbrella Insurance, as applicable) to cover a minimum of FIVE MILLION DOLLARS per occurrence or, as otherwise specified, third party claims for death, bodily injury, loss of property or damage to property and, where applicable, claims associated with the operation of any equipment owned or leased by the Provider, its agents, servants, employees or subcontractors working under this Contract;
- Automobile Liability Insurance in a combined amount of not less than ONE MILLION DOLLARS for bodily injury or death and property damage in respect to motor vehicles owned or leased by the Provider, which are required by law to be licensed; and
Letter from Surety Company confirming it is willing to provide the necessary bid bond (10%) and Performance bond (50%) Labour and Material bond (50%) of +/- $350,000 To be inserted by Proponent
