BACKGROUND:
Notice is hereby given by the University of Ottawa of the intent to purchase from Spectra Physics a Tunable Pulsed Ti:Sa laser combined with an optional Frequency Mixing Module and extended blue optics set to extend the tuning range capability of a pre-existing CW Ti:Sa laser (from Spectra Physics) to perform low-temperature time-resolved laser spectroscopy. The system will be used mainly to study the optoelectronic properties of two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) coupled to nanophotonic structures. Spectroscopy techniques includes low temperature confocal micro-photoluminescence, pump-probe spectroscopy, cavity ring-down spectroscopy, and laser Raman spectroscopy.
