Description

This Request for Supplier Qualification (RFSQ) is an invitation by the University of Ottawa (University/Owner) to General Contractors (Proponents) to submit proposals to be prequalified for a construction project located on uOttawa Campus. The project consists of a a complete modernization of elevator P1 and P2 to full compliance of the applicable codes and regulations pertinent to the project.

The definitions applicable to this RFSQ are those provided in the Standard Form of Contract CCDC2, 2008 Stipulated Price Contract for Construction and the University of Ottawa’s Supplementary General Conditions to CCDC2, 2008 Stipulated Price Contract as per APPENDIX E of the RFSQ.

The Project includes:

Replacement of existing controllers, motor drives, all elevators wire ropes and machines.
A modernization typically also involves the replacement of all operation buttons and fixtures, as well as replacement of all wiring.
The upgrade of the existing elevators including upgrades of the HVAC system serving elevator machine room and any other systems and spaces related to this project.
