Description

The University of Ottaws wishes to contract with a multi-disciplinary engineering team with extensive experience in industrial power plants and district energy systems, who can provide pre-design services.

The mandate includes an Investigation & Report (I&R) on infrastructure related to equipment & distribution within the power plant and tunnel network, an Asset Management Plan for capital renewal strategies, an options analysis and feasibility study on both the Power Plant and District Energy modernization, a structural and building envelope analysis of the tunnels themselves, identifying current campus infrastructure and future needs based on Campus Master Plan.

The mandate has six (6) main components as they relate to the power plant, tunnels, and campus infrastructure, which together will complete the investigation:

Investigation, Study & Recommendation of all existing infrastructure;
Asset Management Plan;
Pre-Design Services;
- - District Energy and Utility Strategic Plan – Options Analysis and Feasibility;
  - Snow Melting Pit Study and Options Analysis;
  - Structural and Envelope Analysis of Tunnels;
  - Development of As-Found Documentation Services.

Insurance Certificate
WSIB or written confirmation from WSIB stating the Proponent is not equired to be registered in Ontario
Certificate of Authorization to practice engineering in the Province of Ontario
