The Unversity of Ottawa is pleased to invite qualified proponents to submit a proposal for a high-resolution photoluminescence detection system to couple on the newly aquired magnetometers.
   
General Description:
The present requisition aims the acquisition of a high-resolution photoluminescent detection system. The system will be coupled with the newly SQUID/PPMS/MCD magnetometers. The system must be able to detect photoluminscence over the 350-1700 nm spectral range without any blind and/or low-sensitivity range, allow high spectral resolution, and be able to detect low-intensity f-f transitions from lanthanide ions. The system is composed by a spectrometer (spectrograph or monochromator), a visible range detector (spectroscopy camera 1), and a near-infrared detector (spectroscopy camera 2).

Mandatory Minimum Requirements for the High-Resolution photoluminescence Detection System:

1. Spectrometer
1.1 The spectrometer must have at least 2 exits for the spectroscopy cameras.
1.2 The spectrometer must have an automatic/motorized input slit.
1.3 The spectrometer must have an integrated filter wheel.
1.4 The spectrometer must have a motorized triple grating turret.
1.5 The spectrometer must have the following gratings:

•  300l/mm, 1700 nm blaze;
•  600l/mm, 1000 nm blaze;
• 1200l/mm, 500 nm.

• 0.04 nm at the visible range;
• 0.08 nm at the near-infrared range 1 (950-1400 nm)
• 0.2 nm at the near-infrared range 2 (1400-1700 nm)
