2020-40385-RFSQ - General Contractor Prequalification-Exterior Rehabilitation

The University of Ottawa is seeking to prequalify General Contractors to perform a rehabilitation of the exterior of Hagen Hall in the downtown Campus. The work includes roof renewal, masonry repairs on a heritage building, landscaping and various other repairs as outlined in the attached design report. The General Contractor will be required to engage masonry subcontractors from a prequalified list. The tender documents will be sent to the prequalified General Contractors in the January 2021 timeframe and the work is to begin in April 2021. Proposals for prequalification are to be submitted electronically through MERX before 3:00:00 p.m. on Thursday December 17, 2020. The five (5) firms with the highest scores will be prequalified although the University reserves the right to adjust the total based on the scoring. 
The firm winning the tender in January will be required to sign a CCDC 2 construction contract with the University's Supplementary Conditions which are included here for your information.
