The University of Ottawa is seeking lump sum bids and a CCDC 2 contract for the repair and remediation of all exterior stairs at the 200 Lees Campus. A mandatory job showing is scheduled for Thursday September 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at 200 Lees at the Main Entrance in Block C. There are 14 sets of stairs to be repaired or replaced as well as concrete ramps, and other civil work such as asphalting, curb repairs and sidewalks. the work has been dplit into 3 phases so that all of the emergency exits are not closed at one time. The work includes:
1. Removal of existing stairs and installation of new precast stairs.
2. Removal and construction of a new accessibility ramp
3. Re-asphalting of roadway c/w concrete curbs and sidewalks
4. Misc. Repairs to precast panels located around various stair areas
Phase 1 is to be completed by November 15, 2019 and phases 2 and 3 by July 2020.
Bids are due at 139 Louis-Pasteur in Room 274 before 3:00:00 on Thursday September 26, 2019.
The University intends to award a CCDC2, 2008 Stipulated Price Contract for the this project. The contract documents will include the provisions of this RFT and the University of Ottawa’s Supplementary Conditions to the CCDC2, 2008
