Description of Procurement
The primary objective of this Request for Proposal is to retain a supplier for general contractor services for bridge restoration of three (3) separate projects, as further described in Appendix B - Deliverables (the “Deliverables”).
For clarity, the RFP is comprised of three (3) Categories:
Category A: RCC Bridge Replacement
Category B: JOR Bridge Windows and Masonry
Category C: LIB Bridge Windows and Masonry
Category A: RCC Bridge Replacement – The Successful Proponent will remove the existing pedestrian bridge and construct a new pedestrian bridge in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications at 80 Gould Street, Toronto ON no later than August 2021 in order to bring the Ryerson pedestrian bridge between the Rogers Communications Center and Kerr Hall East into a state of good repair.
Category B: JOR Bridge Windows and Masonry – The Successful Proponent will repair the existing JOR pedestrian bridge in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications at 380 Victoria Street, Toronto ON no later than July 2021 in order to bring the Ryerson pedestrian bridge between the Jorgenson Hall and Kerr Hall West into a state of good repair.
Category C: LIB Bridge Windows and Masonry – The Successful Proponent will repair the existing LIB pedestrian bridge in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications at 350 Victoria Street, Toronto ON no later than July 2021 in order to bring the Ryerson pedestrian bridge between the Library Building and Kerr Hall West into a state of good repair.
Proponents may submit Proposals for one (1) Category or to two (2) Categories or to three (3) Categories. Ryerson will evaluate and award each Category independently.
Ryerson intends to execute a separate CCDC-2 with supplementary conditions provided in Appendix E for each Category. This RFP will result in three (3) independent Agreements.
The procurement may involve negotiation.
An electronic auction is not anticipated.
Address and Final Date for Submissions
Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca on or before September 28, 2020, 11:00:00 a.m. Toronto Time.
The submissions will not be opened publicly.

- File #6 – Understanding the Assignment and Schedule (applicable to Categories A&B&C. Submit one(1) file per Category, up to a maximum of three (3) files.)
- File #7 – Project Team Resumes (applicable to Categories A&B&C. Submit one(1) file per Category, up to a maximum of three (3) files.)
- Financial/Pricing Submission Requirements

Contract Details
Category A (RCC) - The term of the Final Agreement for Category A is approximately one (1) year or the completion of the work.
The successful completion of the work for this Agreement is expected to be on or before December 1st, 2021.
Category B (JOR) - The term of the Final Agreement for Category B is approximately one (1) year or the completion of the work.
The successful completion of the work for this Agreement is expected to be on or before September 1st, 2021.
Category C (LIB) - The term of the Final Agreement for Category C is approximately one (1) year or the completion of the work.
The successful completion of the work for this Agreement is expected to be on or before September 1st, 2021.
