Description of Procurement

This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is an invitation to prospective Proponents to submit a Proposal indicating their organization’s capability and resources for concrete formwork in Phase 2 Design/Construction as an Other Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Party for the Jarvis Development Project, as described in Appendix B – Scope of Work
Ryerson intends to execute a CCDC30-2018 form of contract for Phase 2 Design/Construction. This CCDC30-2018 will be amended by the Supplementary Conditions attached in Appendix D.

The procurement may involve negotiation. 

An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca  on or before September 14, 2021, 11:00:00 a.m. Toronto Time.

The submissions will not be opened publicly.

• 8.5 Points – File #6 – Relevant Experience;
• 4.25 Points – File #7 – Innovative Practices and Additional Information;

• 2.5 Points – File #10 – BIM and Revit Experience.

3. Financial/Pricing Submission Requirements

• 7.5 Points - Pricing Part I – Base Hourly Rate (7.5 Points – distributed as follows):
  • 1.125 Points - Executive Lead / SMT Rep;
  • 1.5 Points - PM  / PMT Rep;
  • 1.5 Points - Superintendent;
  • 1.125 Points - Foreman;
  • 1.5 Points - Estimator; and
  • 0.75 Points - BIM Manager.
• Pricing Part II – Base Hourly Rates of Remaining Roles (5.5 Points)
• Pricing Part III – Average Base Hourly Rates of Other Roles (2 Points)
• Pricing Part IV – Corporate Overhead(%) (5 Points)
• Pricing Part V – Profit Expectation (%) (5 Points)
• Pricing Part VI – Equipment Rates (3 Points – distributed as follows):
  • 0.075 Points - Luffer crane erection / dismantle cost;
  • 0.075 Points - Luffer crane monthly rental cost;
  • 0.75 Points - Hammerhead crane erection / dismantle cost;
  • 0.75 Points - Hammerhead crane monthly rental cost;
  • 0.6 Points - Contact area of vertical formwork monthly rental (cost per m2);
  • 0.75 Points - Contact area of suspended slabs formwork monthly rental (cost per m2).
