The University is soliciting prospective proponents to submit proposals for four (4) High Power Tm Fiber Lasers.
The lasers need to output 200W of power in CW mode. The wavelength needs to be 1940 nm and the spatial mode needs to be the fundamental Gaussian.
The lasers will be used to pump a home-built high power-Ho:YLF laser. They must operate for a minimum of 8 consecutive hours; 5 days per week.
Mandatory Technical Requirements:
1. Four (4) Tm:fiber Lasers
1.1 Maximum output power must be: 200 W or higher
1.2 Wavelength must = 1940 ± 1 nm
1.3 Spectral bandwidth must be less than, or equal to, 1 nm
1.4 Operation mode must be Continuous Wave (CW)
1.5 Polarization must be either Random or linear
1.6 Long term power stability must not vary by more than +/- 3 %
1.7 Output beam quality must be M2 ≤ 1.1
1.8 Beam diameter must be less than, or equal to, 6 mm
1.9 Beam Divergence must be less than, or equal to, 0.7 mrad
1.10 Power must be either 120 VAC or 208 VAC, single phase, <2 kW. A transformer must be included, if required, to meet the necessary power requirements.
2. Other Requirements
2.1 Online assistance must be included for installation by the user. Email Support, Phone call(s) and Virtual Meeting(s) are all acceptable.
2.2 The lasers must be capable of operating for a minimum of 8 consecutive hours; 5 consecutive days per week.
2.3 Must include a minimum of one (1) year of warranty on parts and labor.
2.4 Must be capable of providing up to a total of 5 years of extended warranty.
2.5 All electrical components must have CSA (Canadian Standards Association) certification or accepted equivalent as per Electrical Safety Authority Recognized Certification Mark at the following link: https://esasafe.com/electrical-products/recognized-certification-marks/ Otherwise, all electrical components must be able to undergo the applicable electrical inspection, and/or, certification, without voiding the system warranty.
