McMaster University’s Housing & Conference Services (HCS) is seeking to establish a list of qualified proponents with a demonstrated record in researching and developing an evidence-based Housing Plan. A plan is required that will provide strategic direction to satisfy the preferences and demands of current and future occupants, allowing HCS to provide a holistic approach to the best on-campus living experience. The Housing Plan will establish the current and future strategic direction using statistics, data analysis, research, experience, and consultation.
Planning services are required that include: an opportunities and constraints analysis, identifying the key issues facing the residences and the local housing market, including such factors as: existing facility condition assessments; contemporary leading practices in residence housing design, amenities, and programing by/for type of resident. Recommendations are required to identify preferred options and a phasing plan for renovations, re-configuration and/or major renovation of current residence buildings.
The final Housing Plan will include evidenced-based recommendations for future strategy for the next ten years. The Housing Plan will take into consideration strategic documents including but not limited to:
