McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit responses for the supply of one (1) FAST PROTIEN LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY INSTRUMENT (FPLC) in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals.
The FPLC is required for the analysis and purification of many different types of proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids. We will require an instrument with a highly sensitive UV detector, injection ports for large (>50mL) and small volume injections (>100uL), mixer for creating buffer gradients and an assortment of compatible columns (heparin affinity, anion and cation exchange, desalting, analytical and purification grade size-exclusion chromatography), as well as a high-capacity fraction collector, to be used in conjunction with the instrument.
Bidders must quote the entire bid. Partial bids will not be accepted.
The proposals shall include a FPLC instrument, computer and software to operate the instrument, a high-throughput fraction collector, and several FPLC columns to use for experiments as specified below. Installation and training shall also be part of the proposal, with options for extended service and warranties.
The term of this agreement is for the initial purchase of a FPLC Instrument, including the one (1) year standard manufacturer’s warranty. Proponent to provide optional extended warranty and on-site service of an additional five (5) years with an option to renew on a yearly basis as required, at McMaster’s sole discretion.
