Description

Carleton University is seeking the services of an experienced Architectural firm, along with a complete team of sub consultants, to submit proposals to provide consulting services for design, project development, and delivery of a Engineering Design Centre within the Faculty of Engineering and Design. The Engineering Design Centre (EDC) is a proposed addition to the existing Mackenzie complex. The EDC will accommodate design studios for capstone projects developed by students from various departments. The proposed design concept for the EDC is based on a regular, modular grid of 20ftx20ft space modules which is organized over three storeys to minimize the use of campus real estate, the EDC will provide a flexible framework for the faculty of engineering to address its current and future needs for engineering student design studios. A previous study which was recently completed will be provided as part of this document.
