EG17-33 - Prime Consultant Services For Brock University’s DeCew Residence Redevelopment

This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by the Brock University] (the “University”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Prime Consultant Services for our  DeCew Residence Redevelopment as further described in Part 2 – The Deliverables (the “Deliverables”).
 
Brock University is planning on performing the required infrastructure upgrades and architectural improvements necessary to extend the life of, and improve the student experience, in the DeCew Student Residence. The project will be multi-phase to ensure the continued operation of the residence during the upgrades.  The DeCew Residence was designed in 1968 by architect John Andrews with Salter Flemming Secord Architects, it was constructed in 1969 and opened in 1970.  It accommodates 414 students, is a split 4 storey building with a basement, and has a gross building area of 153,805s.f.  The building has not had any significant upgrades since it was originally constructed 47 years ago.  The roofing, bedroom windows and fire alarm system have been replaced in recent years, and do not require upgrading as part of this project.
