This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Ontario Pension Board (“OPB”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for external audit services, as further described in Section B of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).

OPB seeks an experienced External Audit service provider who has demonstrated financial audit knowledge and expertise in the defined benefit pension plan sector. On an annual basis, the service provider will provide external audit services for OPB financial statements, approximately nine (9) subsidiary financial statements and twelve (12) operating cost statements.

The Partner responsible for the audit team must have a CPA, CA designation and be a licensed public accountant with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in providing financial audit services; and the Partner responsible for the audit team must have demonstrated experience in the defined benefit pension sector.
