Description

OLG executes a Mystery Shop program to ensure retailer compliance to retailer policies. Currently, OLG’s Mystery Shop program focuses on two areas:

Sale of Ticket Policies – ID25 Policy

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Act, 1999 (Ontario) prohibits the sale of OLG authorized products to persons under the age of 18.
Retailers and their Staff must check acceptable forms of photo ID for individuals who appear to be under the age of 25, before processing any lottery ticket purchase, validation or redemption.

Ticket Validation Policies – Lottery Ticket Validation

Retailers and their Staff must follow OLG’s validation process and must only validate tickets when the customer is in the store.
When validating a ticket, retailers must follow the procedures as outlined in the Policy Manual, ensuring:

tickets are signed by the customer prior to validation by the retailer,
the return of the validated ticket and the corresponding validation slip to the customer by the retailer, and
the lottery ticket sales area is devoid of clutter.

The term with the Successful Respondent will be for a period of three years with the option to extend for two additional one-year terms at OLG’s sole discretion.

OLG has an estimated yearly budget of $598,000 plus applicable taxes for Mystery Shop services.
