The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board wishes to provide notice of the current tendering for Mother St. Bride School, North Bay, ON – Ventilation Upgrades 2021.

The scope of work is generally as follows. This description is a summary and not exhaustive; refer to the contract documents for all required work:

Install fourteen new energy recovery vertical/unit ventilators (UVs) with 4” concrete housekeeping pads.Remove glazing and insulated panels and install new unit ventilator sleeves, louvers, blank off panels & wall infill, top extensions, indoor ductwork, diffusers and grilles, acoustic lining, condensate lines, controls, etc. Interlock with existing building heat.
Remove & reinstall ductwork, grilles, diffusers etc. to facilitate structural reinforcements. Drywall cutting &patching as required.
Install three new ceiling exhaust fans to replace existing and remove one fan entirely.
Thermally insulate existing ductwork.
Testing, adjusting, and balancing of new systems and existing exhaust streams.
Electrical work required to support mechanical upgrades, including providing a new panel and power feeds to UVs and exhaust fans.
Structural work required to support new 2nd floor UVs and various ductwork penetrations through block walls.
Remove all designated substances within areas of work. Follow ministry guidelines. Hire services of certified designated substance removal company. Refer to Designated Substance Survey.

An on-site non-mandatory Bidder’s Briefing is scheduled for Monday, May 10th, 2021 at 3:30 p.m.

To be considered, offers must be submitted on official tender forms and will be received by the Owner, Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board, 1000 High Street, North Bay, Ontario, P1B 6S6, attention: Mr. Dan Russo, Sr. Manager of Plant Services and Health and Safety, prior to the closing date and time as per the requirements of the Bid Documents.

Submissions received after the closing deadline will not be accepted. Fax or e-mail submissions will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, and/or cancel or withdraw this request for any reason without liability for any costs or damages incurred by respondents including without limitation, any expenses incurred in the preparation of the submission.
