NPCA-2019-010 - New Laneway from Seventh Avenue at Balls Falls Conservation Area

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority to prospective proponents to submit proposals to supply labour, equipment and materials to install new laneway through existing field from Seventh Avenue at our Ball’s Falls Conservation Area as further described in (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).

Scope or work
 
The new laneway will be installed through an existing field.
 
The size of the new Laneway will be approximately 275m x 6m with 6” of gran B and 6” of  gran A. All granulated material will need to be level and compact.
 
All topsoil from Laneway will need to be graded along new Laneway where needed.
 
New Laneway will need to be higher then the finished field grade to allow proper drainage.
 
The Contractor will also be required to install and supply two new 30’ X 15” Culvert & backfill with gran A material.
 
An additional 45’ X 15” Culvert & backfill with gran A will be required for a laneway off entrance on Sixth Avenue as well. In addition to a Catch Basin attached to Culvert.

Before submitting bid, it is recommended that contractors attend the “Recommended Site Meeting that will be held on Monday March 25, 2019 @ 1:00:00 PM
 
This will allow bidders to carefully examine the site and ensure work can be carried out without changes to this document. NO allowance will be made later for any expense incurred due to failure to make this examination.
 
The selected Contractor shall include in their tender price all customs charges, duties, permit cost, material, labour cost to complete this project.
