Description

Niagara College is seeking a service provider that will manage the pick-up and disposal of waste at all Niagara College Campuses hereafter known as “Waste Management”, “Waste Management Services” or the “Services”. The service provider shall have the experience, expertise and qualifications to arrange the pick-up, haulage, storage, disposal and treatment of waste, “waste” shall consist of the following: solid waste, single stream recycling, organics, and cardboard.

Solid Waste: Waste materials sent to a final disposal site i.e. landfill or incinerator
Single Stream Recycling: All recyclable materials, which are placed in a single collection receptacle. For example, materials may include, but not limited to, fine paper, newspaper, plastics, aluminum, glass, corrugated cardboard etc.
Organics: Pre-consumer and post-consumer food materials. For example, materials may include, but not limited to, fruits, vegetables, meats, bones, dairy, etc.
