Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Supply of logistical personnel for special events at the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum.
The Museum is seeking Proposals from potential firms who have managerial experience in providing qualified personnel for the project entitled: ‘’Supply of logistical personnel for special events at the Canadian Museum of History (Gatineau, QC) and the Canadian War Museum’’ (Ottawa, ON), Canada. This is a one-step two-envelope submission process (Technical and Financial) to select the overall highest ranked Proponent who may then be invited to negotiate or to enter into a Contract with the Museum.
The Museum will enter into a Contract with the successful Proponent in accordance with the RFP documents and its associated General Conditions.
Project Description/Objective
The Contractor will manage and supply qualified personnel for logistical work during special events and other minor activities such as set-up of curtains, internal meeting, registration tables etc. happening at both Museums located at the :
- Canadian Museum of History: 100 Laurier Street, Gatineau, Quebec, K1A 0M8
- Canadian War Museum: 1 Vimy Place, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0M8
Project Schedule: As per event schedule.
Scope of Services
The Museum will require the following resources during the events either at the CMH or CWM. All resources may not be necessary for each event. The Museum does not offer any guaranties linked to the number of events and the volume given to the awarded Contractor. Please note that the personnel might work in both museums during a same call. Most of the calls are for a duration of 4 hours but can be longer depending on amount of work.

To be considered, Proposals must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted in the MERX ad through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Proponents for all associated details.
Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFP. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise.
The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the RFP documents.
This procurement is subject to:
- Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement
It is anticipated that the contract will be in place for a duration of three (3) years from the date of award.
If mutually agreeable between the selected Proponent and the Museum, this Contract may be extended for up to two (2) additional one-year periods with the same terms and conditions.

Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Proposals on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.
The Museum retains the right to negotiate with the Proponents on any aspect of the procurement.
Proposals may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
