Request for Proposals (RFP) for Box Office, CINÉ+ and Boutique Personnel Services at the Canadian Museum and the Canadian War Museum.
The Museum is seeking Proposals from potential firms who have managerial experience in hiring personnel to support on-site operations of retail services at the Canadian Museum of History (CMH) located in Gatineau, Qc and the Canadian War Museum located in Ottawa, On, Canada. This is a one-step two-envelope submission process (Technical and Financial) to select the overall highest ranked Proponent who may then be invited to negotiate or to enter into a Contract with the Museum.
The selected Contractor will be required to deliver the Services described in the procurement documents.
Project Description/Objective
The Contractor will provide personnel for the Museum’s Box Offices, Boutiques and CINÉ+ (at CMH only) during hours of operations. The Contractor will provide staffing to cover both locations (CMH and CWM), as well as the necessary on-site leadership to supervise the staff, financial administration and operational procedures that will ensure smooth operations.
Scope of Services
The Contractor is expected to maintain the appropriate levels of personnel and quality to ensure that Museum operations are maintained until the end of the Contract. This includes sharing of information, files, operational knowledge, etc. The Contractor is responsible for the checkout and the cash control of Boutique and Box Office.

To be considered, Proposals must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted in the MERX ad through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Proponents for all associated details (Annex 1).
Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFP. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise.

This procurement is subject to:
- Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement
It is anticipated that the contract will be in place for a duration of 2 years from the date of award. If mutually agreeable between the selected Proponent and the Museum, this Contract may be extended for up to three (3) additional one-year periods with the same terms and conditions.
Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Proposals on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.
The Museum retains the right to negotiate with the Proponents on any aspect of the procurement.
Proposals may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
