Request for Proposals (RFP) for Food Business Consultation
The Museum is seeking Proposals from potential firms who have consulting experience in the food business industry for the project entitled: “Food Business Consultation Services’’ at the Canadian Museum of History (CMH) in Gatineau, Qc and the Canadian War Museum (CWM) in Ottawa, On, Canada. This is a one-step two-envelope submission process (Technical and Financial) to select the overall highest ranked Proponent who may then be invited to negotiate or to enter into a Contract with the Museum.

- Consulting Services:
To be considered, Proposals must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted in the MERX ad through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Proponents for all associated details.
Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFP. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise.
The Mandatory Requirements for this project are identified in the RFP documents.
This procurement is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement
Project Description/Objective
Assistance of a specialized consultant for food and beverage design and operations, preferably in the cultural and museum sector. The Museum requires a consultant to analyze the existing food services, for both retail operations and catering operations, and provide recommendations and a proposal for a reimagined food service concept, supported by market research, consultations and analysis.
Project Schedule: Will be proposed by the Consultant as per the Museum’s requirements in attached SOW.
Scope of Services
The selected Proponent will be required to provide the necessary consulting services that include the following :
• Market Assessment
• Operational Assessment for both retail food operations and catering operations
• Food Service Concept Development for both retail food operations and catering operations
• Financial Modeling and Analysis
• Strategic Recommendations
The Deliverables can be provided in the official language of choice of the consultant (French or English).

Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Proposals on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.
The Museum retains the right to negotiate with the Proponents on any aspect of the procurement.
Proposals may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
Proponents can obtain the award result once posted on MERX.
