The Corporation of the Municipality of Greenstone (referred to herein as “The Municipality”) is requesting proposals from companies specializing in tower construction and associated project management to assist the Municipality with the required actions necessary to achieve full compliance with tower standards, with respect to its telecommunication tower located 4km south of Beardmore, Ontario on Hwy 11. The existing guyed, steel frame infrastructure supports multiple apparatus for the broadcasting of regional radio stations, weather information, and the transmission of radio frequencies for municipal services. Respondents are asked to provide an infrastructure solution appropriate for the site that represents economic value to the Municipality in consideration of construction and life-cycle costs.
An optional site visit to the property shall be offered on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, commencing at 11:00 AM (EST). Please note that this will constitute the only site visit opportunity related to this competition. Proponents are requested to meet at the Beardmore Municipal Office (285 Main Street, Beardmore, ON) at the time and date noted above. Mr. Alan Clarke, Manager of Facilities & Parks will be present.
