The intent of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is to have firms respond to this bid initiative that can supply, implement, and support a Virtual Queue Software for Mount Royal University.
The opportunity exists to introduce a virtual queue system that will allow students to add their names to a virtual queue or book an appointment online to contact an advisor or student service representative, continuing education representative, or someone from the conservatory. With this system, it will also help manage physical lines at Mount Royal University at a variety of locations. By allowing students to come only when their appointment is ready, it will help improve the student experience at Mount Royal University, particularly during the pandemic as the number of people gathering in a given area is limited and variable; but also, a recognition of the value of student time which is supported by the institution.
The system will also provide reporting and analytics to assess peak periods which would in turn allow for responsive staff deployment (fast-track lines for one transaction for example). There are also future opportunities to use a virtual queuing system in other university departments.
