In collaboration with the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) and Professions North/Nord (PNN), MiHR’s M-PIN project will adapt, test and evaluate innovative methods to broaden engagement to better recruit and integrate immigrant talent into the Ontario mining industry.
The professional forum opens networking opportunities to job seekers and employers, and a customized training intervention program for human resource practitioners will help employers better recognize and address potential barriers to employment for internationally trained professionals.

The purpose of this specific work is the adaptation of existing four (4) part human resources training program for the mining community. The customized modules will be delivered as “Leading the Journey towards Inclusion in Mining” to human resource staff from mining employers. This training will contribute to the first objective of the overall project.
