The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) invites firms to submit a Proposal for the following: Supply and implement Hitachi VSP E590H Midrange Enterprise Storage Platform at the WCB's primary and secondary data centres.
Description of Services
The Contractor will lead the WCB's IT team in the design and implementation of the Hitachi VSP E590 storage solution which will include performing the following:
a) Hitachi block storage implementation:
(i) design and implementation for Hitachi block storage platform into the WCB's environment;
(ii) configure one or more storage systems (design details will include the layout of the storage pools); and
(iii) install Hitachi Ops Center Administrator and Analyzer onto the defined management servers.
b) Data protection implementation:
(i) implementation of remote replication technologies on the new storage arrays using Hitachi Universal Replicator (HUR); and
(ii) creation of replication pairs.
c) Custom block data migration for a defined set of disks and hosts from the existing Hitachi storage arrays to the new Hitachi storage arrays;
d) Eradication and disk destruction of all the WCB's data from its drive(s) using methodologies compliant with the U.S. DoD Standard 5220.22-M (Sanitization).
The Contractor will be required to supply the following hardware, as further defined in Schedule "D" Fee Schedule:
a) Hitachi VSP E590H Midrange Enterprise Storage Platform; and
b) Hitachi Vantara Unlimited Training Card Subscription.
The Services shall normally be performed during Business Hours. However, the WCB may request some of the Services to be performed outside Business Hours from time to time, as deemed necessary, in the unfettered discretion of the WCB. The Contractor shall not be entitled to charge overtime rates unless specified in the Fee Schedule.
The Vendor must have experience and knowledge with implementation of the Hitachi VSP E590 storage solution.
The Vendor must be an authorized reseller of Hitachi storage solution products and services.
The Proposal should include an overview of the proposed resource(s) being offered, including profiles of work which highlight their experience performing similar projects.
The Contractor will not be required to have and maintain workers' compensation coverage for its workers who will be providing the Services, unless required pursuant to The Workers Compensation Act.
The Services shall be provided onsite at the WCB's facilities and from the Contractor's facilities located in Canada, as applicable, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
