RFP&Q 2018-01 - Design/Build of a Fire Hall Pre-Engineered/Building System

The Town of Teulon and the RM of Rockwood are municipal governments in the Province of Manitoba and under agreement formed the Teulon-Rockwood Fire Commission.  The location for the project, the Teulon-Rockwood Fire Hall, is located in Teulon, approximately 40 minutes north of Winnipeg, off Provincial Hwy #7.  The Teulon-Rockwood Fire Department is a shared operation of the Town of Teulon and the RM of Rockwood.
 
The current fire hall is located at 51 Main Street and was built in 1986.  The Department has outgrown their current location.  The Teulon-Rockwood Fire Commission explored the possibility of an expansion at the current location however this was not feasible.
 
The Town plans to close the southern portion of Main Street and amalgamate the property with the former CPR lands.  The new fire hall will be located at the south end of this property just off of P.R. 415. 
 
The construction of a new fire hall is required to meet the requirements of additional and physically larger new modern fire fighting vehicles and equipment.  The project also allows for increased space for emergency training purposes, emergency equipment storage, improved communications, organization and co-ordination with other emergency services.
