NOTICE OF PLANNED PROCUREMENT (NPP) SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES

Manitoba Hydro is issuing this Notice of Planned Procurement (NPP) 043339 in advance of an upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) 043340 to:
1. Introduce the HVdc Reliability Project (the “Project”), and the Owner's Engineer role in the Project, to the market,
2. Gauge interest and availability of potential consultants to perform the Owner’s Engineer scope of work,
3. Provide advance notice of the upcoming RFP to allow potential proponents additional time to prepare a response to the RFP once issued, and
4. Identify potential conflict of interest situations that may arise if proponents are involved in other Project roles.

SCHEDULE

Manitoba Hydro has identified the following anticipated milestone dates:

Owner's Engineer RFP issued on MERX                                                                                  MARCH 2025
Owner's Engineer RFP closing date                                                                                           APRIL 2025
Owner's Engineer selection of preferred proponent, negotiation, and contract award               MAY-JUNE 2025
Award of Phase A Agreement to OEM(s)                                                                                JULY 2025
