This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Government of Manitoba (“Manitoba”), as represented by the Department of Labour, Consumer Protection & Government Services, Capital Projects Planning and Delivery (“CPPD”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for general contracting services for the renovations of office space on the 9th floor of 405 Broad as further described in Section 1 of the RFP Particulars (Appendix 3) (the “Work”).

CPPD requires the services of a general contractor for the renovation of existing office space and decommissioning of a server room. Located at 405 Broadway, Winnipeg, the Woodsworth Building is a fifteen story office building providing government office space. The Scope of Work includes, but it not limited to the construction of new offices using DIRTT demountable wall systems (supply and install by First Avenue), moving services, painting, electrical and mechanical work to suit new offices, and the decommissioning of an existing server room back to base building. The project is to be completed by end of March 2023.

Work site location will be occupied during construction.

An optional Site Visit has been scheduled as follows:

Date and Time: January 4, 2023 9:00 AM local time

Proponents are to meet at the main floor cafeteria at 405 Broadway prior to 9:00 AM to sign the site attendance sheet. Proponents are to pre-register by email to the project coordinator at alex.needham@gov.mb.ca. Deadline for registration is the end of the business day January 3, 2023. If proponents are not available to attend the above scheduled optional site visit, but still wish to view the site, an appointment may be arranged by contacting the RFP Contact.
Deadline for questions is January 5, 2023. All questions are to be submitted via email to cppdprocurement@gov.mb.ca.
Submission deadline is January 12, 2023 at 2:00:00 PM. All submission are to be electronically submitted to MERX. No other form of bid submission will be accepted.
