D3. SCOPE OF WORK
D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
(a) Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation and Associated Works
(i) Ambergate Drive – Frontage Roads from Amber Trail to Pipeline Road
(ii) Blechner Drive from Adsum Drive to Pipeline Road
(iii) Marnie Place from Jefferson Avenue to Blechner Drive
(iv) McKenzie Street from Church Avenue to Polson Avenue
(b) Asphalt Pathway Reconstruction and Associated Works
(i) Adsum Park Pathway from Maples Community Center to Margate Road
(c) New Concrete Transit Stop and Associated Works
(i) McGregor Street from Partridge Avenue to Leila Avenue
(d) Sewer Repairs and Associated Works
(i) Blechner Drive from Adsum Drive to Pipeline Road
(ii) McKenzie Street from Church Avenue to Polson Avenue
D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation and Associated Works
(i) Removal of existing asphalt as required;
(ii) Renewal of existing concrete sidewalk;
(iii) Excavation;
(iv) Compaction of existing sub-grade;
(v) Installation of geotextile fabric;
(vi) Placement and compaction of sub-base material;
(vii) Installation of geogrid;
(viii) Placement and compaction of base course material;
(ix) Construction of new concrete sidewalk;
(x) Renewal or construction of curb ramps;
(xi) Installation of detectable warning surface tiles;
(xii) Abandoning existing drainage inlets;
(xiii) Removal of existing catch pits;
(xiv) Installation of new catch pits;
(xv) Installation of new catch basin;
(xvi) Connecting new pipe to existing sewer or existing catch basins;
(xvii) Repair of existing catch basin leads;
(xviii) Full depth concrete repairs of existing slabs and joints;
(xix) Adjustment of existing pavement and boulevard structures;
(xx) Renewal of existing curb as required;
(xxi) Construction of modified barrier curb;
(xxii) Boulevard grading;
(xxiii) Placement and compaction of topsoil;
(xxiv) Installation of pavement repair fabric (Type B);
(xxv) Placement of main line asphalt pavement (Type MS1);
(xxvi) Placement of asphalt pavement at tie-ins and approaches (Type MS1); and
(xxvii) Placement of sod.
(b) Asphalt Pathway Reconstruction and Associated Works
(i) Removal of existing post bollards and steel gate as required;
(ii) Removal of existing asphalt as required;
(iii) Excavation;
(iv) Compaction of existing sub-grade;
(v) Installation of geotextile fabric;
(vi) Placement and compaction of sub-base material;
(vii) Installation of geogrid;
(viii) Placement and compaction of base course material;
(ix) Placement of main line asphalt pavement (Type MS1);
(x) Renewal of existing curb as required;
(xi) Renewal of existing concrete sidewalk;
(xii) Boulevard grading;
(xiii) Placement and compaction of topsoil;
(xiv) Placement of sod; and
(xv) Installation of post bollards and chain.
(c) New Concrete Transit Stop and Associated Works
(i) Removal of existing curb as required;
(ii) Excavation;
(iii) Placement and compaction of base course material;
(iv) Renewal of existing concrete sidewalk;
(v) Construction of new transit stop shelter pad;
(vi) Construction of new monolithic curb and concrete sidewalk;
(vii) Boulevard grading;
(viii) Placement and compaction of topsoil; and
(ix) Placement of sod.
(d) Sewer Repairs and Associated Works
(i) Patching of existing manhole; and
(ii) Repair of existing catch basin leads;
