D3. SCOPE OF WORK
D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of installation of water mains in the City of Winnipeg.
D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Installation of approximately 860m of 150mm and 200mm diameter PVC water main pipe by trenchless method;
(b) Abandonment of existing water mains as required;
(c) Water main repairs of various sizes at 6 locations;
(d) Abandonment of an additional 1850m of cast iron water main including interconnections, gate valves and hydrants;
(e) Removal/abandonment of existing hydrant assemblies and gate valves as required;
(f) Installation of valves and hydrant assemblies;
(g) Reconnection or renewal of water service connections;
(h) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas.
