This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Coordinating Entity to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the Provision of Pharmacy Services for the Service Delivery Organizations (SDOs) Personal Care Homes of Manitoba, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The Coordinating Entity, as identified on the cover page, is issuing this RFP and administering the RFP process on behalf of the Purchaser(s) identified in Section B – Material Disclosures of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D).
Shared Health intends to enter into an Agreement for the delivery of an efficient and cost-effective medication distribution system and clinical pharmacy service for the residents occupying the 8,568 beds in 105 Personal Care Homes (PCHs) and Long-Term Care (LTC) Facilities in Manitoba. This is the current estimate of the number of LTC/PCH beds; however, Shared Health reserves the right to increase or decrease the number at it’s sole discretion based on the needs of the SDOs of Manitoba.
It is the intent for Shared Health to enter into an Agreement with one (1) or more Proponents who will undertake to provide the Services and costs per category or any number of categories as identified in this RFP. The allocation of the PCH beds within a PCH grouping will also take into consideration the services currently rendered by a Selected Proponent within a PCH grouping, if any. The SDOs shall determine, in their sole discretion, the exact number of beds and their locations for which Services will be provided for each Selected Proponent.
