Description

The Rural Municipality of Springfield is experiencing continued residential and commercial growth of its population to the point that the current facility is reaching its maximum organic and hydraulic loading capacities to a point that future population growth cannot occur without additional wastewater treatment capacity.

As part of the Rural Municipality of Springfield Wastewater Treatment Master Plan, the next step of expansion is the introduction of an aerated treatment process with the potential for continuous (year round)discharge to the Cooks Creek Diversion in order to increase capacity while maintaining the current footprint.

At this time, the Municipality is seeking proposals from qualified professionals for work related to the Preliminary Design Report, preliminary and detailed design, and tendering of the upgrades and expansion to the Rural Municipality of Springfield Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility.
