06-2017 - Partial Demolition of Public Works Building - 2025 Camsell Avenue

The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:

1. Demolition of the westerly two bays of the Public Works Shop at 2025 Camsell Avenue;
2. Demolition shall include but not be limited to the removal and disposal of all building, concrete, mechanical and electrical components unless otherwise specified herein or by the Contract Administrator prior to the demolition being undertaken. Care shall be taken to ensure there is no damage to the structure that is to remain.
3. All electrical and mechanical components within the westerly two bays shall be disconnected and capped within the section of the building that will be remaining to the satisfaction of the Contract Administrator.
4. The contractor shall salvage the following materials and place them within the portion of building to remain;
   1. All exterior overhead doors complete with tracks, motors and hardware;
   2. South facing exterior man door complete with frame and hardware;
   3. West facing exterior man door complete with frame and hardware;
   4. The unit heater in the westerly bay and hardware; and
   5. Video surveillance cameras and attached hardware on west facing exterior wall.
5. Site restoration to a granular surface in accordance with E1;
6. Site cleanup
7. Mobilization and demobilization shall be considered to be included in the contract lump sum price.
8. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Contract Administrator and the Contractor for the Centennial Plaza project which will be under construction concurrently, all in an effort to minimize disruption of traffic flow and pedestrian movement in the areas around 3021 Birds Hill Road and 2025 Camsell Avenue.
