Keewaywin First Nation, is inviting bids from qualified Contractors for the Landfill Project in Keewaywin First Nation, Ontario.
The Community is located in Northern Ontario, 226km North of Red Lake and is accessible by ice road during the winter and year-round via air travel.
The scope of work for the project includes the construction of the community’s new landfill and associated works. The Project scope of work is summarized as follows:
• Site preparation.
• Production of Type B Granular Material from local pits.
• New Landfill and Diversion Depot construction.
• Installation of Monitoring Wells.
• Existing Waste Site (Landfill) cleanup and closure.
• Vehicle scrap metal preparation, staging and haulage (Provisional).
• Hazardous waste, staging and haulage (Provisional).
Each tender must be accompanied by a fully executed Bid Bond in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price expressed as a percentage. The Bid Bond shall be issued by an approved surety company licensed to conduct business in Canada.
Each tender must be accompanied by an Agreement to Bond, stating that the surety providing the Bid Bond is willing to supply a Performance Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price and a Labour and Materials Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price.

MERX is the official and sole distributor of the Bid Documents including any addenda. If a Bidder obtains the Bid Documents by means other than through MERX, the accuracy of the document and the receipt of any addenda, if applicable, are not guaranteed.
Bids must be received electronically at the email addressees indicated in the Bid Documents no later than 3:00:00 p.m. local time (Winnipeg, CST) on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Late or misdirected bids will not be accepted.
At the discretion of the PMT, the lowest Bid Price, or any Bid, may not necessarily be accepted.
